Brand New Volkswagen Up! Five DoorVolkswagen look set to follow up the three-door city car with a new five-door version of the Volkswagen up! The revised, more practical model is understood to making its debut in March.

Although unconfirmed at this stage, the five-door is expected to cost £8,395, around £400 more than the three-door.  Volkswagen have confirmed the vehicle is due to hit UK dealers in the second half of the year, going on sale around September.

Volkswagen has also claimed the updated five-door version will account for half of all up! Sales. It's presumed to have no increase in dimensions, with an equal wheelbase as the three-door.

With either 59bhp or 74bhp, the same choice of 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines are situated beneath the bonnet. On top of this, there will be a road tax-exempt 99g/km car, while Volkswagens special editions will stay the same, including colour-coded white and black release models.
