Recent Chinese car manufacturers that have tried to break the European car market have not coped well with Euro NCAP crash tests, but Chinese manufacturer Geely managed to score 4 NCAP stars with the Emgrand EC7. The first Geely car will be available in the Uk as early as 2013, Geely said the new vehicle will be a similar size to a Skoda Octavia which will be available in either hatchback or saloon versions. Customers will have the choice of either a 1.5 and 1.8-litre petrol engines, prices should start from £10,000. Geely will also include a five-year/100,000 mile warranty. Geely will release a new model each year for the next five years after the Emgrand EC7 and they plan to sell the new Geely range through a network of 40 UK dealerships.
