New Audi RS6 Avant & Saloon

The next Audi A6 Avant has been snapped during hot weather testing in the Nevada desert and there are enough clues on show to confirm that this is the next generation Audi RS6. Some features you can’t hide with camouflage is the RS6’s road hugging front splitter, huge 5 spoke alloy wheels and you can also make out the carbon ceramic brakes which are all characteristics of the RS6. The rear of the car you can see a quad exhaust system which is usually found on the S models but don’t let this throw you as Audi will replace this with twin oval exhaust pipes. The RS6 Avant (Estate) is well known for its supercar power and will have a new 4.0 litre twin turbo that produces 550bhp which is less than its predecessor, but 0-62mph still comes in a time of 4.8 seconds.

The new Audi A6 Avant which will be shown at the upcoming Frankfurt motor show has a quality and spacious interior and features a well packaged boot. While the Audi RS6 won’t be out until 2012, lower powered A6, A7 and A8 S versions may also make its debut at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
