The New Audi RS5

Audi have released the first official pictures of the long awaited Audi RS5. The first cars will roll off the production line for delivery in October 2010.

The Audi RS5 has extreme appeal, it has aggressive looks without becoming arrogant or in your face. It acheives 0-60 in 4.6 seconds a top speed restricted to 155mph which Audi can increase on request to 174mph. The power is delivered via a 4.2 V8 engine tuned to produce 444bhp. The Audi RS5 will be equipped of course with Audis legendary QUATTRO four wheel drive system to help keep this car out of the barriers. The Gear box will be the 7 Speed dual clutch S Tronic as Standard.

It will offer a selection of driving modes and has the option of a rear differential, the standard differential will be in the centre but setting will allow 85% of the power to be delievered through the rear wheels to create a sportier drive.

The exterior will sport a new rear spoiler that will only appear once you reach 74mph, bigger arches and increased air intakes will enhance its exterior appearance without looking like a christmas tree.

It is expected to be priced under the £60,000 mark.
