Audi Q3

There has been a lot said about Audi releasing a rival to the BMW X1 and now after what seems like years of speculation we can now confirm the Audi Q3. As you can see from the disguised pictures the Q3 looks like a smaller version of the Audi Q5, you should expect pronounced ridges on the Q3 bonnet and flared wheel arches that will help give the Q3 real presence on the road.
From the pictures you can make out that the front of the Audi Q3 looks to have a set of swept back headlights which look to be inspired by the new Audi A1. The rear of the Audi Q3 has angular tail-lights that again look almost identical to those found on Audi’s A1 premium supermini.
Underneath the bonnet the Audi Q3 will have the same options as the Volkswagen Tiguan, which include a 2.0-litre TFSI engine available with either 168bhp or 208bhp. Also available will be a 2.0-litre TDI engine with 175bhp with a choice of either a six-speed manual or an S-Tronic dual-clutch gearbox. A 138bhp deisel engine will arrive at some point, but this will be available only with front wheel drive only and promises 54.3mpg.We should expect a 0-62mph sprint in just over six seconds with emissions ranging from around 150g/km of CO2 in the most efficient of the models going up to 170g/km of CO2 in the least efficient models.
Audi plan to officially reveal the Audi Q3 at the Geneva Motor Show which takes place in March 2011 before going on sale before the end of 2011 costing around £24,000.
