Audi A1 Quattro

German manufacturer Audi has revealed the Audi A1 quattro, a new high performance version of the vehicle. 

The Audi A1 quattro’s power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine which generates 252bhp, as with the S3. A low kerbweight allows the vehicle to claim a 0-62mph time in just 5.7 seconds, whilst hitting a maximum speed of 152mph. The car will come in the Clubsport Quattro-inspired trim, with a black roof, white metallic paint, stylish alloys and heavy rear spoiler. The interior is expected to be made up of top quality materials such as carbon fibre, aluminium and Alcantara, but currently unconfirmed.

With just 333 vehicles being made, the Audi A1 quattro will be a limited run model to test the popularity of the car. It will be released exclusively as left-hand drive to see if people will be interested in purchasing an RS1 should the model go into full scale production. In January a decision will be made as to whether right-hand models will be built.

The Audi A1 quattro will be obtainable from the middle of 2012 and will be around £40,000 in price. The S1 will follow mid 2013, with around 220bhp. Check our current range of Audi A1s here.
