These are the first pictures of the new Renault Grand Scenic and Renault Scenic, both will receive efficient engines and upgrades to equipment.
The only exterior changes are to the front and rear bumpers and front and rear lights which now come with optional LED daytime running lights. The biggest change comes from the range of new energy efficient engines. The most efficient is the109bhp 1.6 litre dCi Energy engine which can achieve 69mpg while only producing 105g/km of CO2. Renault has hinted at a more powerful 128bhp which claims figures of 64mpg while only producing 115g/km of CO2 emissions.
As for the current 109bhp 1.6 litre petrol engine, this will be replaced with a smaller 1.2 litre that produces 114bhp which is 5bhp more thanks to a turbocharger. This new 1.2 litre engine produces just 135g/km of CO2while fuel consumption is down by 20%. As standard both of the Scenic’s now get hill start assist while as an optional extra Renault will offer there Visio system which features lane departure warning and automatic headlights.
No prices as yet but Renault Scenic lease deals and Renault Grand Scenic lease deals will be available early 2012.
